What is Trustee?
A person appointed by the court to carry out a particular task or to manage a body of assets.
It differs from guardianship in that the person’s capacity is not generally restricted; a trustee is appointed only for a particular matter or body of assets. Appointing a representative for an estate held in common and appointing a trustee to a company are the main areas of application.
