What is Settlement?

The parties ending a dispute through mutual concessions. Made before the court, it produces a document with the force of a judgment.

Settlement is possible at any stage of the proceedings. A settlement document drawn up at the end of a mediation likewise acquires the force of a court judgment once endorsed as enforceable.
